Close to Work

Our new neighborhood is actually right across from Ben's Work. Sometimes he is at the hospital in the emergency room and sometimes he is here at the Balsam Center.

Our Driveway is a little steeper than we thought it would be.....ROUGH GRADE we just keep reminding ourselves. Up on top of the house pad is one beautiful view though.

Mountain Plant Life in Balsam Forest

OK...So Balsam Forest comes with everything we have always hoped for in a place to live. It is so private and rich in {Mountain Plant Life}. The views are amazing. This all seems like a dream. Somebody start pinching me....

The leaves are changing throughout the whole neighborhood. It is breathtaking.

I just love this Hemlock...

Our Lot and Neighborhood

We are excited to start moving dirt and starting grading on Tuesday (2 days away). It has been such a long process so far. We actually started looking in Balsam Forest a couple of years ago. It had everything we were looking for and there were several lots for sale. Unfortunately, they all cost more than we wanted to pay. We ended up getting a great deal on the perfect lot.
The Girls and I enjoyed a walk around the entire neighborhood today. It was a perfect fall day!

Let's Build a House!

After 5 years in our cedar sided tree house...we have decided to do something rather adventurous and build a house. We were blessed to sell our house a few weeks ago and get settled into the temporary rental house.

It will be an exciting journey that we'd like to follow using this Blog.

ENJOY the Moment at Hand....That is the challenge when building a house. You become so future focused. The girls have made the transition somewhat smoothly although one week after moving Annaleah has come down with the Chicken Pox. So we are stranded at home. Fortunately we are on Fall Break, so we will just settle into our new temporary house and enjoy the beauty that is all around us as we observe the spread of color that comes with FALL in the

MOUNTAINS.
